When and how to pay
Typically, you will be required to pay in advance for small translations. If you are unable to pay right away, you may be asked to agree in writing to pay within a specified period of time.
In the event of a large and/or ongoing project, you will be required to sign an agreement.
Standard government and personal documents
Standard government issued documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, etc.) are charged at a flat rate of $30 per page. Other documents (educational, medical and legal documents, personal letters) are charged at a rate of $0.12 to 0.16 per word (rates vary depending on the language pair).
Technical, medical and business documents
Rates for these types of documents are typically calculated per word ($0.12 to 0.16) and vary in accordance with the language pair, difficulty level of the source text and complexity of the document layout. Discounts and surcharges apply (see below).
Editing rates are determined by our editors based on the quality of the unedited text. Rates for grammar editing may vary from $0.05 per word in the case of a well written paper to $0.15 per word for a text that needs to be fully rewritten. Editing for style is charged on an hourly basis (with rates ranging from $30 to $60 per hour).
